Pujols Picture PartyJune 10, 2016

This year’s Pujols Picture Party was another one for the books. With 40 moms in attendance, this Mom’s Night Out style scrapbooking event was one of the largest to date.

Moms had five hours of uninterrupted time to spend on projects and interacting with other moms. The ladies entered West Hills Community Church in Town and Country, Missouri to a sea of scrapbooking materials. Once checked in, moms could select a brand new scrapbook and fun embellishments of their choosing. They also received a scrapbooking resource guide featuring tips, templates, and creative ideas. Some then took a visit to Inspiration Alley (a table full of examples of different type of scrapbooks) to gather ideas for their own books. But before any scrapbooking began, the ladies first took time to catch up, meet new people, and enjoy some delicious dinner provided by McAlister’s Deli.

With a table for beginners and seasoned scrapbookers swapping ideas, this laid back event was perfect for scrapbookers at any level. Some came with boxes and boxes of pictures and supplies in tow, others came starting from scratch. One favorite new idea from the evening came from a veteran scrapbooking mom: using an old favorite story book as the base for a scrapbook.

The night was capped off with some Papa John’s pizza. While some seemed to get a lot of scrapbooking done, others simply took time to organize their photos, and many just enjoyed the company and laid back atmosphere.

The 2016 Pujols Picture Party was the perfect event to relax, chat, spend time working on scrapbooks, and foster community between mothers. The PFF looks forward to hosting the Pujols Picture Party again next year.

Special thanks to West Hills Community Church, McAlister’s Deli, DNT, Papa John’s, and our volunteers for helping to put on such a great event!
